Forward Positions and Squads
FOBs, rallypoints, construction, authoritative kits and stronger squad navigation moved the battle away from a single base spawn.
Forward operating bases, rallypoints and fortifications are now part of the match loop. They are deployables controlled by the server, displayed on the tactical map and used as advanced spawn choices. The deployment flow can select authorised positions instead of always returning a player or bot to the Main Base.
Squads have also become a firmer part of the game structure: players can create, join, leave, lock and invite; leadership can transfer; and faction kits are validated by the server with team and squad limits. The client asks for a role, but the server publishes the equipment that was actually granted.
For AI squads, the work has been about making an order look believable in the world. A* navigation uses a grid, cache and deferred calculation, while formations, regrouping and anti-blocking detours stop soldiers from all trying to occupy the same point. Those systems are functional and still being exercised against new maps and obstacles.
